The Cheltenham Festival is the crown of the National Hunt. While many great jockeys have ridden and conquered this amazing track, there is one man who stands out from the rest – Ruby Walsh. The Biggest Winner of them all

Ruby has has wins at this track than any other jockey in history. He can call himself the undisputed King of Cheltenham after winning here a grand total of 59 times! He managed to achieve some of these wins while riding for two of the best trainers in the UK, at the time – Paul Nicholls and Willie Mullins.

He had the biggest name horses under him racing with the Ditchet Supremo with the likes of steeds such as Kauto Star, Master Minded and Big Buck’s. Hurricane Fly, Quevega, Vautour also came under his spell and together they became victorious in their quest of crossing the finishing line in first place.

King of the Races

In 2009 Kauto Star and Ruby won their Gold Cup triumph together for the second time. Together, this was the first and only time any horse has won the Blue Riband twice, after winning it first in 2007. His stablemate, Denman won it in 2008 before losing the next year to the power duo.
